Don’t miss Deception Pass State Park, just north of Oak Harbor. The centerpiece of the park is Deception Pass Bridge. There are actually two bridges ¬†which curve high above the turbulent water and connect Fidalgo Island to Whidbey Island. The views from the bridge are unforgettable. Stop at the state park and take the easy hike down to the water and discover local marine life.

Just outside Oak Harbor is Wildwood Farm BnB. This is a private equestrian estate and a working equestrian facility. Stay at the lodge and enjoy the beauty of the farm. You can simply view the professional staff working with the horses or try your hand at a trail ride or riding lesson.

Getting There and the Weather in Oak Harbor

Oak Harbor is accessible by State Route 20. Travel north on I-5 from Seattle and take State Route 20 west. Island weather is temperate in the summer with plenty of sun and temps in the low 70s. Winter is more cloudy with rain and highs in the low 50s.
