The Cascade Loop

The Cascade Loop is a 440-mile long route that encompasses mountains, lakes, fertile valleys and the shores of the Puget Sound. Travel east from Burlington over the North Cascades then through the Methow Valley to Lake Chelan. From there you travel through the Bavarian themed town of Leavenworth and across Stevens Pass on to Everett. Next take a ferry ride to Whidbey Island, ultimately winding back to La Conner. This trip cannot be done in one day and the entire route is not open year around.

Chuckanut Drive Scenic Byway

This designated Washington state scenic byway winds dramatically through deep evergreen forests at the base of Chuckanut Mountain and along cliffs above the rocky Chuckanut Bay shoreline. It starts in the tidal flats of the Samish lowlands and ends in historic Fairhaven, just south of Bellingham.
